UmeDuo’s first CD is now out on NEOS records.

UmeDuo have given recitals in the United Kingdom, Sweden, Iran, Russia, Switzerland, France, Austria and Germany, and performed world premieres by 14 different composers. They have been invited to several renowned festivals including Klang Avantgarde Music Festival Copenhagen, Tehran International Contemporary Music Festival, Festspiele Zürich, ReMusik St Petersburg, Sound of Stockholm, Tage für Neue Musik Zürich, GEIGER Gothenburg and Meggenhofen, Austria.

UmeDuo is dedicated to expanding the repertoire for cello and percussion and to present these works internationally. They have commissioned and premiered works in close collaboration with composers such as Malin Bång, André Chini, Jenny Hettne, Esaias Järnegard (Sweden), Anahita Abbasi, Mehdi Khayami (Iran), Ricardo Eizirik (Brazil), Timothy Salter (UK), Ulrik Mayer-Spohn (Germany), Teresa Carrasco (Spain), Luke Styles (Australia), Leilei Tian (China) and Elena Rykova (Russia).

As a result of winning the Swedish “Ung & Lovande” chamber music competition, the duo gave two tours in 2014 and 2015 with 20 concerts throughout Sweden. The previous year UmeDuo were selected by the prestigious Park Lane Group to perform in the Queen Elizabeth Hall and at St Martin-in-the-Fields, London.

The duo have studied with Anders Loguin (Stockholm), Thomas Grossenbacher (Zürich) and Mike Svoboda (Basel) amongst others.

They also enjoy giving school concerts and workshops.
